Export Departments from Sage Intacct

Exporting department records from Sage Intacct to an external system is simplified with the Export Departments task in Zynk Workflow's Sage Intacct Connector.

In this documentation, we'll explore the settings provided by the Export Departments task and offer recommendations for optimal configuration.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have the following:

  • Access to Zynk Workflow.
  • A connection to Sage Intacct. If you haven't done so already, please refer to this article for instructions on setting up the connection before returning here.

Export Settings

Export Type

The Export Type setting determines which records will be exported:

  • New: Export records created after a specified date.
  • Modified: Export records modified after a specified date.
  • All: Export all records.

Created Since

This setting specifies the date from which new records should be exported. Only records created on or after this date will be included in the export when the Export Type is set to New.

The task autonomously manages the Created Since values to ensure precise data exportation. Even when the Export Type setting is configured to All, the task dynamically updates the Created Since value to reflect the creation date of the most recent exported record.

Modified Since

When the Export Type is set to Modified, this setting specifies the date from which modified records should be exported. Only records modified on or after this date will be included in the export.

The task autonomously manages the Modified Since values to ensure precise data exportation. Even when the Export Type setting is configured to All, the task dynamically updates the Modified Since value to reflect the creation date of the most recent exported record.

Export Detailed

Enabling this setting includes detailed information for each record in the export. Detailed information may include additional fields or related data.

Filter

The Filter setting allows users to provide custom filters based on specific requirements. Users can define filter criteria to narrow down the records included in the export.

Force Lookup

By default, the task will lookup the corresponding object model in Sage Intacct once per day to retrieve updated information. However, setting Force Lookup to true will trigger a lookup of the object every time the task runs. Note that enabling Force Lookup results in an extra API call being made to Sage Intacct.

Page Size

This setting determines the number of records to retrieve per API call. Adjusting the page size can optimize performance and manage API usage based on system requirements.

Relationship Fields

Optionally, users can specify a list of fields from related objects to include in the export. Including related fields provides additional context or details related to the records.

Usage

To use the Export Departments task effectively, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new workflow, or edit an existing one, depending on your requirements.
  2. Configure the task settings based on your requirements, including the Export Type, Filter, and any additional options such as Export Detailed or Force Lookup.
  3. Specify the date criteria if using the New or Modified export types.
  4. Define any custom filters with the Filter setting to narrow down the records included in the export.
  5. Adjust the Page Size as needed to optimize performance and API usage.
  6. Optionally, include related fields to provide additional context or details in the export.

By configuring the Export Departments task settings appropriately, users can efficiently export records from Sage Intacct to external systems while ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
