SSL Certificate error

When using the SMTP tasks within Zynk, you may come across the following issue:

The server's SSL certificate could not be validated for the following reasons:
• The server certificate has the following errors:
  • The revocation function was unable to check revocation for the certificate.

This issue is often caused by Antivirus/Internet Security programs that look over your SMTP server and scan emails for malware. You can tell if your organisation uses this functionality by checking your email footers for messages such as "Scanned by Avast" or something similar.

Resolution

You can resolve this error by amending your antivirus settings, so that emails sent from the "From" address on the task are excluded from such scans.
